NVIDIA�s silicon design team in Bristol delivers leading-edge processor based devices into the mobile market. There is an opportunity for a Silicon Characterisation Engineer to work as leader of the team tasked with bring-up and characterisation of complex digital processor and SOC projects. This role will have a strong technical content but will also include responsibility for planning, tracking and reporting the characterisation tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production of bring-up and test plans in consultation with local design teams and other characterisation groups worldwide
- Bring-up and characterisation of high performance processors and SOC systems on leading-edge process nodes
- Test and characterisation of components found on-chip in SOC systems, such as memories, PLLs and IOs
- Analysis and presentation of test and characterisation data to local design teams and other teams worldwide
- Technical management of a local characterisation team to achieve planned goals
- Interfacing to ATE test team for appropriate aspects of characterisation, correlation and yield enhancements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A good degree from a leading university in an engineering or computer science related discipline.
- Significant experience in silicon engineering, platform engineering or characterisation.
- Capability in both generating prototype bring-up and characterization plans and driving them through to completion.
- The ability to demonstrate capability as a technical lead is pivotal. Previous experience of team management is beneficial.
- Good communication skills are essential, as the role will necessitate liaison with teams on various international sites, with a key focus on the US.
- Excellent organisational with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritisation skills.
- Proactive and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
