Operations Specialist - Drilling (Russia rotation)

Job Description


Due to an expansion in workload, we are currently seeking a number of Operations Specialists for our Drilling division, to be based on a 28 day rotation to Sakhalin Island, Russia.


You will be primarily responsible for providing technical support to our client and their contractors on BOPs, their maintenance and installation, covering 3 rigs off Sakhalin Island. You will liaise with clients on a daily basis, attending meetings and solving any technical issues with equipment. You will supervise any maintenance, installation or commissioning work occurring and provide support to the field service technicians carrying out the work. You will also liaise with senior management to ensure operations are running smoothly.

Job Responsibilities;
-Attend meetings with SEIC & KCAD relating only to CAM Drilling Equipment
-Liaise with CAM Plants & Cameron Aftermarket Locations for technical assistance
-Create Preventive Maintenance Programs for customer Drilling Assets
-Manage customer Drilling Assets for Service, Interim Inspections & 5 Year Recertification`s
-Manage & Update Customer Engineering Rig Books
-Look at Drilling Parts inventory at CAM Base
-Search & Review local companies for Aftermarket Drilling Assistance


We are looking for candidates who possess at least a HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or an engineering discipline, and have experience with either Cameron equipment, or similar oil tool equipment. We are also looking for candidates with good computing skills, preferably with some AutoCAD experience. This role may suit persons from a Field Service background who wish to take up a different role.
