This newly created role of Manager, Production Processing reports to the General Manager CHPP and Infrastructure Maintenance and will provide leadership, expertise and direction to the Production Function. As a driver of the safe operation and continuous improvement of critical controls, production and logistics processes and equipment, in accordance with the Operation's plans, standards and process specifications, you will be responsible for;
· operational accountability for delivering against HSEC, Volume and Cost performance targets
· the Material Risk profile for Production - verifying material risk critical controls are appropriately designed, deployed and effective
· ensuring employees and contractors adhere to work standards, are competent, and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work
· compliance by the production function to statutory legislation and BHP policies
· approving production and logistics resource allocation and work plans to ensure work orders and other resource requirements are fulfilled
· managing, engaging and coaching the production and logistics teams at the Operation to deliver against performance targets
· positively influencing and shaping the culture to ensure a safe, sustainable and disciplined approach to work Liaise with HR for execution of related business processes
· providing input to long-term planning (Resource Development Plan, 5 year plan, 2 year budget and short range forecast, etc.)
· establishing goals and targets for the Production sub-functions in line with plans and budgets
· driving initiatives to optimise the utilisation of existing business processes, practices and systems to improve the overall performance of the function
· liaising with HR for execution of related business processes
The successful candidates will have a Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or Administration and Management (or related disciplines) and possess;
· a track record of developing and influencing success in a results focused production environment
· extensive experience in production and/or maintenance management in a mining, infrastructure, heavy industry or mineral processing field
· a strong understanding of the drivers of success
· sound business process and SAP skills
