G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. Having poured our first gold bars, the mine and processing plant is now focused on achieving the ramp up phase to go into full production. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. The Martabe Gold Mine is striving to maintain an excellent track record in responsible mining practices, and clear commitment to compliance to mining regulations as well as developing and managing mining activities with the involvement of local communities. To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:
MATERIAL HANDLING SUPERVISOR (PRO 10130)

This position will be based at Martabe site and reports directly to Mechanical Coordinator. This position would be responsible to provide “hands-on” support for the Mechanical Coordinator, so as to ensure that all lifting and transport activities carried out by the Material Handling team are performed in a professional, safe, diligent, timely, cost efficient and cost effective manner, whilst taking into consideration the priority requirements of the Process Plant and associated infrastructure”s mechanical plant, equipment & apparatus being attended to. Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Possess approved Crane Operating & Rigging qualifications
2. Possess a valid recognised HE Driver”s licence
3. Experience in similar supervisory positions within the mining, oil & gas or similar heavy industrial environment.
4. A good understanding of world class mining standards and associated safety
5. A good understanding of “Computer Maintenance Management Systems” (CMMS)
6. Thorough knowledge with developing and approving lift plans to suit specific mobile cranes up to 160t capacity.
7. Interpretation of mobile crane operating & maintenance manuals.
8. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.
9. Thorough knowledge of safe lifting techniques.
10. Ability to perform routine inspections & maintenance on lifting apparatus. Eg. Chains, slings, shackles, spreaders, hooks, blocks, clamps, tie-downs, lever hoists, chain-blocks.,
11. Thorough knowledge of acceptable lifting devices, apparatus & attachments.
12. Ability to understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instructions.
13. Ability to demonstrate “Safe Working Procedures” to subordinates.
14. Ability to estimate the amounts of labour, materials, and equipment required for tasks / projects.
15. Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
16. Reasonable English language verbal & written communication skills
17. Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet.
