In a tightening market, the consulting space is usually the hardest hit. Many firms have dropped back to 4 day weeks or are about to do so. There is uncertainty ahead for the coming quarter or two. - Head up the mine planning function out to the life of mine (8 + years).
- Produce stope and development designs.
- Two direct reports: covering short and medium term outlooks.
Yes, to do this you will have to go back to a site based position. However, the roster on this is an 8/6, travelling on company time and with flights under the 90 minute mark, so you can maximise your time in Perth. They also have one of the larger Perth based Tech Services teams – runs on the board on site will see you earmarked for a Corporate role when the next one comes up.
You can also get back to the site based salaries; surveys have put these guys at the top of the pile.
Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, a minimum of 7 years’ predominantly hard-rock experience and planning out to life of mine.
