Our BNZ Partners CBD team currently has an opportunity for a successful Corporate banker to join our market leading team. As a Senior Relationship Manager in the Corporate Banking team you will primarily be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of highly valued corporate business clients operating across Auckland. Your clients operate across a diverse range of industries and typically have an annual turnover ranging from $20M up to $200M per annum.

Responsibilities include:

• Drive business performance through effective management of a portfolio of existing clients
• Origination of new business via established personal, business and professional networks
• Enhance partnerships with our clients, business leaders and professional contacts
• Work closely with your BNZ Partners team and support people to ensure efficient portfolio management and best possible solutions and outcomes for your client
• Take a proactive part in the local business community and networks
• Use of internal specialists to add value to our clients' businesses through advice and guidance

This position is based in the Auckland City Partners business which is responsible for all Property, Private Banking, Business, Commercial and Corporate banking in Auckland.

What we are looking for:

• A Corporate banking record is very strongly preferred, ideally a minimum of 5 - 10 years. Alternatively, we may consider someone with extensive experience managing a successful Commercial banking portfolio, or a Leveraged Finance background
• Proven ability to understand and meet the needs of complex mid market customers and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and their professional advisors
• Superior commercial acumen and understanding of banking products, markets and trends

You will be a highly accomplished banker who excels at communication, negotiation and relationship building with senior leaders of businesses. Your drive, ability to work effectively in a team and natural relationship building skills will ensure success in this role.
