Reporting to the Superintendent Projects, within the Non Process Infrastructure team your duties will include:

You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the CBD's newest building - 'City Square'. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, a giant outdoor terrace with barbecues and 550 bicycle racks. The building also houses a childcare centre and a fully equipped gym.

Position
Reporting to the Superintendent Projects, within the Non Process Infrastructure team your duties will include:
- Definition and execution of capital works and major maintenance projects
- Management of contractors and construction supervisors to deliver project objectives
- Execution of operational readiness plans to hand over assets to operations
- Ensuring designs, modifications and solutions are safe and cost effective
- Preparation and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, reports, scopes and other documentation where appropriate
- Identification of opportunities to improve project management and delivery within existing operations
- Providing support and advice to the Housing, Camp Accommodation, Airport, Water and Power, Port and Rail teams in relation to Project Management
- Management, review and coordination of budget estimates, competitive quoting or tendering activities for projects
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline or relevant industry experience
- Project Management and Engineering skills relevant for delivering projects in the infrastructure sector
- A proven track record of safety management and "putting safety first" in engineering
- SAP experience or other computer based planning systems
- Proven ability to manage contractors and third parties across multiple geographical locations
- Building / Maintenance / Infrastructure industry experience (10 years) – mining, non process infrastructure industry experience preferred
