Job Description

We are looking to employ Senior Rolling Stock Engineers to join our Transport teams in Auckland and Sydney. Performing a key role within the Rail team, you will lead and contribute to building the Rolling Stock capability in Australasia.

With at least 15 years' experience, we expect you to bring a range of skills and experience, including some or all of the following:

• New build design / commissioning / operations
• Rolling stock maintenance strategy development and management
• Light Rail experience (design, procurement, introduction / maintenance and operations)
• Resolution of in service technical issues
• Vehicle Acceptance and compliance management (VAB)
• Understanding of Australasian / European / American standards development and interpretation
• Experience of rolling stock / operator licencing arrangements
• Demonstrated success in project management and leading teams and clients through change processes
• Consulting experience and the ability to identify and develop new business leads and work with the Business Development team to win new work
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Knowledge of and experience working in either New Zealand or Australian markets
• Rolling stock lease and whole of life cost model development and management
• Franchise bid development and management
• Rail industry experience outside of Australasia

You will be a professionally qualified Engineer, preferably Electrical or Mechanical, with a demonstrated technical knowledge of rolling stock. You will be a team player, and able to develop collaborative working relationships to accomplish project goals.
