Description

In this position, you will be part of a cross-geo development team and lead the definition and perform validation of the Perceptual Computing SDK components. You will be responsible for maintaining test equipment, coordination of test execution, developing test plans, test design specifications, tests cases, and test automation. You will be interacting with other validation teams, running validation suites and debugging discovered issues. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Validation in Windows (Win7 and Win8 and beyond) environment.
- Validation in Linux and Android environments.
- Setup and configuration of non-production systems such as desktop and mobile Core Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge and beyond, along with Atom based tablets/netbooks.
- Building, troubleshooting and stabilizing early Alpha and Beta systems running Linux and Windows; working with development teams for BIOS and Graphics drivers.
- Maintain test equipment in the lab and ensuring remote access to team members at other sites.
- Debug of discovered issues and root cause-analysis.
- Developing new test suites for automated testing and manual (visual) inspection.
- Run validation suites on Windows and Linux platforms and report bugs.
- Write Test Plans, Test Design Specifications and test reports.
- Interface with other teams involved in product development and validation.

Qualifications

You should possess a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 5 years of experience in software testing or development.

Additional qualifications include:

- Solid programming skills with C and C++ and experience in writing Windows or Linux applications.
- Experience in software testing, quality assurance and systems validation is required.
- Experience in with Windows* and Linux operating systems is required.
- Experience in scripting with tools such as Perl, Python or Linux and Windows shell scripting.
- Familiarity with C# and Java is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008/2010/2012.
- Experience with networking and remote access technologies.
- Experience with automated and manual test development is required.
- Hands-on experience with audio & video media technologies, video camera input processing is required.
- Excellent English-language verbal communication and writing skills.
- Willing to work occasional time-shifted work days as required for effective interaction with international teams.
- Familiarity with Intel PerC SDK or Intel IPP product is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft DX9/DX11, DXVA2, DXVA-HD, WDDM driver model is a plus.
- Familiarity with Linux VA API, X Windows/X11 is a plus
- Excellent and proactive communication skills.
