Job Description

AGL's Upstream Gas business has been established to create a portfolio of equity gas investments that will provide AGL with a more flexible, self-supply option for the supply of natural gas to fill the gap between wholesale gas contract positions and our customer's demand. Upstream Gas aims to optimise the value of the AGL gas and electricity portfolio.

We currently have an exciting newly created Rig Manager position in our Workover and Completions Team. AGL are in the unique position of owning our own new state of the art Workover Rig which is currently situated in Western Sydney, but this position could be based anywhere across AGL's assets in NSW and QLD. As the Workover Rig Manager your main responsibilities will be to lead a team of Workover rig crew to ensure Workover programs are completed in a safe and timely manner.

The responsibilities of the position include:
  • Manage, supervise and implement AGL's policies and programs
  • Organise and coordinate workover and completions activity including the management and maintenance of field equipment
  • Produce reports regarding rig operations and inspections
  • Coach, mentor and train the crew to conduct operations in a safe manner to a high standard

Desired Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate:
  • Previous experience leading and/or supervising a crew to complete a variety of workover and completion operations
  • Can demonstrate previous experience providing training on safe and correct procedures and equipment use
  • Valid BOP certificate, Senior first aid certificate etc
  • Excellent communication skills and able to build strong relationships within and across teams
  • Leads by example and can demonstrate a sound safety record
