The role
We are currently seeking a talented Technical Officer - Structural (CAD Drafter) to work closely with our other specialists to prepare construction level documentation based around civil infrastructure projects. The positioned will be based in SMEC's ACT office at Lyneham, Canberra.

With a minimum of 5 years civil infrastructure industry experience, you will play a key role in providing structural design outcomes for the ACT and Central Region businesses.


  • Documentation of bridges with knowledge of RMS standards a preference

  • Ability to adapt to other structural related documentation

  • Enthusiasm to take on new CADD technologies

  • A track record of achievement in a similar role from an engineering design consultancy

Suitable applicants will have/be:


  • Australian, New South Wales and/or ACT experience preferably with various road authorities

  • Minimum qualifications of an Advanced Diploma of Engineering or approved equivalent from an accredited College
