Dawson mine is located in the Dawson Valley, at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. The mine is made up of three operating pits: North, Central and South. Each year, Dawson mine produces coking, soft coking and thermal coal, using open cut and highwall mining methods. The operation has identified reserves of 281 Mt of coal, with potential for an additional 125 Mt. Coal is railed to the RGTanna Coal Terminal in Gladstone for export to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and India.
Development Coordinator – Maintenance – Dawson Mine
As the Developmnet Coordinator for Maintenance you will be reporting into the Maintenance Superintendent with a strong focus on ensuring the delivery of the Maintenance department training performance plans and onsite coordination of the training compliance requirements. As part of your duties you will be responsible for the coaching and mentoring of our Maintenance Leadership Team to streamline performance management processes.
Due to the unique range of duties and responsibilities it is essential that you must be a natural leader with the ability to successfully drive change. One of your key aspects of this role will be to coordinate and develop relationships with the Apprentice provider and Apprentices. You will work closely with the apprentices and coordinate all 'on the job' training programs.
As the successful candidate, you will have a Trade or diploma qualifications in Maintenance Engineering together with Workplace Trainer and Assessor / Train the trainer qualifications. Supervisory experience in Mining or Resources industry will be highly regarded. Importantly you will be someone who champions the Anglo Values of Safety, Care and Respect, Integrity, Accountability, Collaboration and Innovation.
