Principal Research Engineer (Future Products)

Job Description

In this position, individual will direct the activities of a research group in the research and/or development of technology relevant to SanDisk’s future products, projects and programs. They will collaborates with others on the direction of research and development relevant to long-term objectives and concerns. Writes and approves manuscripts for publication. The individual will develop strategies to ensure effective achievement of scientific objectives. Monitors and evaluates completion of tasks and projects. The individual will oversee interdepartmental activities and research efforts. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Desired Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA degree or equivalent with 10 or more years of related experience. The individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people. A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
