Job Description

As the Subsea Aftermarket Engineer - Controls, you will provide services and support across Subsea functional activities to all Woodside Business Units. Including coordination of onshore activities and service personnel, onshore and offshore service support, equipment storage and maintenance, mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment for offshore campaigns, and spares inventory management.

Key accountabilities:
  • Coordinate Vendor services for management of SSPL inventory including storage, maintenance, refurbishment and repair
  • Manage the work activities with a focus on HSE, Quality, Schedule & Cost, to ensure successful execution of the scope in line with the Customer’s expectations
  • Coordinate Vendor technical support and resolve interface, equipment, and personnel issues
  • Prepare work scopes, schedules, and cost estimates for equipment maintenance, refurbishment, preservation and pre-mobilisation activities.
  • Follow through Non-Conformance Reports, Service and Quality Notifications to conclusion with vendors.
  • Support the implementation and management of a CMMS, which including inventory and maintenance management activities.
  • Provide technical reports, cost estimates, proposals and business justifications as required by the Customer
  • Coordinate support as required from other Engineering group teams
  • Provide input to, and attend design reviews on Subsea Production and Intervention equipment.
  • Promote and Lead HSE activities within the Aftermarket team

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Degree / Trade qualified Engineer (Electrical / Electronic) with a minimum of 4 years experience in the manufacture, testing and/or installation of subsea controls
  • Team player with proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams of subsea engineers (and Suppliers) to deliver high performance
  • Self motivated with strong initiative and an ability to communicate clearly and present ideas effectively up and down the line to business and technically focused personnel.
  • Familiar with HSE Management Systems and Failure Analysis techniques, including participation in risk reviews and HAZOPs/HAZIDs
