Job Description


General Responsibilities:
  • To assist in engineering duties on oil, water and gas, onshore and offshore projects under the direction a lead E&I Engineer
  • Undertake the duties of an E&I Engineer on a range of skid design based project as directed by the Lead E&I Engineer. This will include but will not be limited to:
    • The preparation of data sheets for both electrical equipment and instruments
    • The technical evaluation of bids for E & I equipment
    • Liaising with suppliers to ensure that the equipment type is suitable for the required application
    • The sizing and best location for Junction boxes and Cabinets
    • The sizing of cable trays
    • On site E&I support for the FAT testing for the completed skid package
    • The mark up for drafting of E&I loop and hook up drawings, etc
  • Understand your obligation under the health and Safety Act
  • Develop self motivation and interest in the technology and its application to a project
  • Develop an appreciation of other disciplines` activities and interfaces within a project
  • Develop the personal skills required by a professional engineer
  • Liaise with clients and answer site and technical E&I based queries

Experience/Requirements:
  • A graduate in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering with an aptitude for design and engineering within the Oil and Gas Industry. Candidates with other suitable engineering degrees or HNC`s will be considered. It is expected that the candidate will have at least five years work experience working as an E & I Engineer for a similar company within the Oil and Gas Industry
