Job Description

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

To Operate, Maintain and Manage the Asset Metering Systems inline with Regulatory body requirements and Pipeline Transportation Agreements in support of the company’s commercial interests. This will be achieved through provision of expert technical support for installed measurement systems and effective management of the Platform Measurement System uncertainties.


Job Requirements

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Active contribution to a culture of continual HSE performance improvement.
• Responsible for the execution of Calibration, Maintenance and Operations procedures that ensure all metering equipment is available for use and is working within its specified accuracy.
• System Owner for BG Group UKU Offshore Metering Systems
• Providing support to ensure the systems, equipment and associated plant are in a safe and effective
  condition.
• Performing and recording metering calibration & maintenance activities as require
• Maintaining all metering records and log books to auditable standards.
• Daily work prioritisation and implementation.
• Regular daily inspections of Asset Metering System equipment.
• Metering System Equipment condition and performance monitoring.
• Accuracy and verification testing on all Asset Metering Systems.
• Utilisation and improvement of Asset System Monitoring Techniques.
• Effective communication of equipment and system issues to the Asset Production and Facilities Team Leaders.
• Compliance with the Asset CMMS.
• Ensuring that the Asset Metering Systems are operated in-line with industry best practice.
• Effective planning and execution of calibration and maintenance activity.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:




· Experience in an onshore/offshore hydrocarbon process plant.

· Experience of working within the strict limitations of a Permit To Work systems.

· Experience of metering and measurement systems within the oil and gas industry.

· Knowledge and understanding of Metering Operation & Maintenance Procedures.

· Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals and principles used throughout Gas and Liquids measurement

· Familiarity with metering and measurement Standards, Regulations and industry codes of practice

Certified as CompEx hazardous area competent
