Job Description

Juniper is the market leader in the networking industry with strong presence in both core and edge routing. With the launch of our SDN strategy, Juniper is also poised to venture strongly in the Value Added Services area that leverages our strong position on the routing space. Juniper’s Edge Software Business Unit is creating the rich set of services that transcend from L3-L4 to L7 services.

As we look to venture into this exciting space, we seek a passionate and motivated Product Manager to help us create the right set of services. This is a highly visible position within the Business Unit and the right candidate will have the experience of successfully creating multiple new service streams that achieved strong growth quickly.

The individual will be responsible for product strategy and execution with a strong emphasis on Go-To-Market activities. The individual shall interface effectively with both inbound and outbound functions like Engineering, Product Marketing, Technical Marketing, Sales and Advanced Technology teams. We are looking for an energetic individual who has demonstrated strong outbound marketing and sales engagement qualities.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Create the vision and strategy for the assigned product producing a Market Requirements Document (MRD). MRD to clearly articulate the key business value proposition; product requirements with sustainable differentiation based on customer needs, competition, and market analysis
  • Create a Go-To-Market strategy by collaborating closely with the Product Marketing team that effectively positions the product to attain leadership position in the marketplace
  • Establish thought leadership in the specific area both within and outside of Juniper
  • Interface with Engineering and other Business Units to ensure timely delivery of effective highly quality products
  • Collaborating with field marketing teams and conduct customer outreach efforts that establish Juniper as the leading vendor in the respective area
  • Define Pricing strategy
  • Support sales training, both internal and channel partners
  • Develop sales materials (presentations, whitepapers, ROI, FAQ etc.) that effectively articulate the capabilities and differentiating aspects of the product. Should be adept at creating collaterals targeted to both business and technical audience

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience, preferably in the service provider space
  • At least 5+ years of Product Management experience
  • Experience in Networking, Layer 7+ services, and Virtualization a plus
  • Strong knowledge of key industry trends, players, emerging technologies and customer pain points
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Self motivated, highly energetic, and sociable personality

Education

  • Bachelors/Masters in Engineering
  • MBA from a premium school a strong plus
