MANAGER PRODUCTION
Permanent position – Site Based
PURPOSE
- This position is a leadership role that delivers against the Short Range Forecast and budget for Safety, Volume and Cost. Leads Production Mining in the delivery of safe work practices that comply with the site health and safety management system. Provides input into developing a plan to meet targets and enables Superintendents and their teams to deliver. Ensures compliance to standards within areas of accountability and continuous improvement by developing control and improvement capability. Manages costs to budget and is accountable for rectifying variances.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Demonstrate and instill an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Demonstrate commitment to the BHP Billiton Values and IndoMet Coal Project’s key behaviours and Code of Business Conduct
- Comply with relevant policies, Group Level Documents (GLDs) and the site health & safety management system.
- Establish goals and targets consistent with budget(s).
- Develop strategies and manage delivery of short term plans to meet the desired outcomes for the function.
- Provide input into long-term planning (Resource Development Plan, Life of Asset, 5 year plan, 2 year budget and short range forecast).
- Manage statutory obligations to ensure compliance.
- Optimise the utilisation of existing business systems, processes, practices and equipment to ensure sustainable, efficient and effective outcomes.
- Analyse variances, trends, risks and opportunities, key business drivers and sensitivities, highlighting significant operational performance issues to Management.
- Perform and coordinate reporting for Senior Management to ensure that they are continuously informed.
- Ensure compliance with, and lead improvement of, processes and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES :
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field or equivalent industry and/or organisational experience
- All required site statutory competencies as referenced in the site health and safety management system and/or IMC policy
- Desired experience of 10 years in a relevant role
- Desired experiences in open cut mining operations
- Kepala Teknik Tambang/KTT certificate and/or Pengawas Operasional Utama/POU qualification holder from the Indonesia’s Dept of Mines & Energy
- Proficient in English language
