Job Description
Role Synopsis:Project Engineer is responsible for managing part of the engineering scope of a CB&I project.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Provides direction and coordinates the Engineering and Design Leads on an assigned project.
- Responsible for the execution of engineering deliverables including the engineering schedule, budget, document controls and manpower staffing
- Proactively manages change
- Establishes project procedures to ensure deliverables meet client and established engineering and project requirements
- Identifies problems and coordinates with the engineering team to correct
- Maintains and promotes a focus on CB&I’s end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines
- Ensures effective management of change.
- Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity and budget control.
- Reviews work with client, management and project leads.
- Depending on size and complexity of the project, may be assigned as the Lead Project Engineer.
- Being the Project Engineering Manager's right-hand at site during construction of an ethane facility, with document control, customer interface for all technical issues, subcontractors and 3rd parties interface for technical issues, RFI's, vendor rep site visits, erection procedures, lift plans, etc.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Education: BSCE or BSME
- Prefer P.E. certificate of registration
- Familiar with engineering procedures, standards, and codes
- Demonstrates a broad technical knowledge of detail design engineering processes and is able to effectively communicate with and lead engineers and non-engineers
