Job Description
The Australian Pacific LNG (APLNG) Upstream Project is a joint venture between Origin Energy, ConocoPhillips and Sinopec and is the largest of its kind in Australia. The project will supply low emissions fuel to growing international energy markets as well as continuing to contribute cleaner energy through its domestic production, equivalent to more than 40 percent of Queensland's current gas requirements. Development of the APLNG project will bring many benefits to the economies of regional communities, Queensland and Australia creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs.We are urgently seeking to appoint a Contracts Specialist to work in our Milton Office for a 6 month contract. We are looking for candidates with solid technical contracts experience as well as commercial negotiation and stakeholder engagement within either the Oil & Gas or wider resources industry.
To be considered for this position you will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years experience within the Resources industry (Oil & Gas/ LNG Sector Preferred)
- Business or Commercially orientated qualification (Essential)
- Tertiary Procurement/ Supply Chain qualification (Desirable)
- Proven understanding of complex contract development, contractual negotiations, stakeholder engagement and post award contract management/administration
- Proven contractual negotiation experience for contracts with a value up to $20M
- Strong organisational and high level analytical skills
- Expert internal and external relationship management/influencing skills
