Job Description

Kiewit Engineering Co. (KECo) is the in-house "engineering company" of Kiewit. KECo provides four separate services - Estimating, Design, Geotechnical, and Construction. In addition to our engineering and technical services, KECo's key specialties cover all the bases, including engineering and contract review, technical support, personnel training, design considerations, change orders, scheduling, job cost projections, and constructability and method analysis.
KECo serves Kiewit districts, joint venture partners, and engineers by supporting management and supervision at all levels. From the home office or on the job site, our integrated services support Kiewit pre-bid, post-bid and through project completion.

This staff position resides within the Kiewit Construction Services Group of Kiewit Engineering Co. with specific responsibility for project scheduling. This position requires good working knowledge of Primavera and an ability to apply a logical progression of construction knowledge in the areas of infrastructure and power work.

Duties include:
* Providing and/or overseeing critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) for construction projects.
* Developing schedules for estimates and work to be bid.
* Coordination with project teams, as needed, to analyze delays and impacts and assist in the development of recovery schedules.

Desired Skills & Experience


* 3-5 years of construction experience with hands-on exposure to Primavera scheduling.
* Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related degree.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Ability to operate/use Primavera Scheduling software.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Strong written and verbal communications skills.
* Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
* Demonstrated work ethic.
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment.
* The ability to travel (up to 60%).
* The ability to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.
* Occasional extended assignments at other sites are possible.
* Ability to relocate based on business needs.
* Must meet the requirements of eligibility to work on Federal Projects.
