Job Description

The utilities contractor has a requirement for a project Quantity Surveyor with utilities experience. They are an accredited multi utility provider who specialise in water and also telecoms. They extend to gas and electricity network customers where appropriate this allows them to provide a one stop shop for the management and installation of multi utilities for private developers. They are busy and have won several new contracts so they are now have a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor for various projects.

Must have

A relevant degree

NEC contract knowledge

Gas, Electrical OR Water utility experience

Civil Engineering contracting experience
All applicants must have experience / knowledge in
Construction methods and associated risks and opportunities

Must have the ability to recognise the most cost effective delivery route

Must have cost monitoring experience

Must have understanding of forecasting and maintain an excellent forecasting accuracy (not essential)

Must be able to conduct Audits diligently and accurately

Awareness of potential client IT systems

Advanced Experience of NEC Form of Contracts

Must be able to monitor and reporting costs at all stages of delivery and responsible for the final accounts

?Review Procurement schedules or equipment lists

Monitor and report on expenditure, accruals and cash flow

Identify and report on project risk and opportunities effectively

Ensure commercial compliance on all projects and programme of works

Monitor and report direct labour payments

Ensure all project team members understand contractual arrangements

Liaise with Procurement Scheduler, Procurement Buyers, Planners and Site mangers

The chosen Quantity Surveyor will be working on various exciting projects within the Utilities sector and receive an excellent remuneration package based on you skills, experience.
