Position
Reporting to the Superintendent Track Maintenance, within the Track Maintenance team your duties will include:

• Supervising the day-to-day activities of the work group, leading and coaching the team to meet work schedules and productivity targets
• Provide and coordinate on-the-job training for Track Maintenance Technicians
• Planning and coordinate track maintenance, prioritising allocation of activities
• Ensuring spare parts and equipment are ordered in a timely manner in consultation with area planner
• Ensuring track maintenance procedures and instructions are implemented and adhered to and updated
• Overseeing monthly and annual expenditure relating to track maintenance
• Accurately completing all required documentation and data entry

Skills and Experience
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

• Strong people management and Leadership skills essential
• Computer literacy in Microsoft office suite and computerized maintenance management systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of heavy haul rail
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on employee engagement
• Demonstrated ability to plan work, allocate resources and monitor progress

Location
You will be based at our 'Yandi' mine on a fly-in fly-out 8:6 roster. Yandi is located approximately 170kms North of Newman West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, squash, tennis and basketball courts, golf driving range, mini golf, netted cricket pitch, beach volleyball court and recreation room. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, internet, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
