The opportunity
 
Located 60 kilometres north-west of Tom Price, Nammuldi and Brockman 2 are open pit operations, offering a variety of rosters. These are 2 weeks on / 1 week off at Brockman 2; 8 days on / 6 days off and 7 days on / 7 days off at Nammuldi.
 
We are looking for Heavy Mobile Equipment Fitters to be based at either site where you will provide maintenance to the NBWT HME fleet, routine breakdown maintenance and identify opportunities for improvements in machinery and work procedures. This will involve using your strong mechanical problem solving skills and liaising with Original Equipment Manufacturers, as appropriate.

What the role entails
 
You will be:
 
  • Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance assigned tasks
  • Actively utilising the SAP system to ensure maintenance tasks and progress are continuously recorded
  • Communicating regularly with key stakeholders including Supervisors and team members regarding the safe completion of required tasks
  • Actively complying with and promoting safety awareness, safe work practices and environmentally responsible work practice
 
What you will need in this role
 
To succeed in this exciting and challenging role, you will have:
 
  • A current mechanical trade qualification and current unrestricted drivers licence
  • A high standard of communication and problem solving skills
  • The ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
  • The motivation and capability to undertake and complete challenging tasks
 
These positions are Western Australian based; with relocation assistance available for interstate applicants.
