Job Description
Job SummaryThe Risk Analyst Sr. is responsible for identifying project risks and generating plans for mitigating risks.
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform risk assessment, which involves analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the project and the future business.
- Preform risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organization such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors, and evaluating the organization’s previous handling of risks.
- Perform risk reporting for different audiences, for example to the Program Team or the program Executive Management Team (EMT) to explain the most significant risks, to functional heads to establish an understanding of risks relevant to the business and to individuals and determine accountability for individual risks.
- Carry out processes such as purchasing insurance, implementing health and safety measures and making business continuity plans to limit risks.
- Conduct audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors
- Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organization.
- Perform project risk analysis and provide mitigation plans and recommendations.
- Provide support and coordinate with program/project team members.
- Support planning for the department budget and resource loading.
- Participate in team activities & meetings.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned

Experience & Education
- Bacholer’s Degree or equivalent expereience required
- Graduate Degree preferred
- Program/Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) prefered
- Eight (8) or more years in managing project level risk and mitigation plans
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
- Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
Travel
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
