A mid-tier international mining company in is seeking to appoint a General Manager to manage one of their key mining operations. The main focus of the role is providing leadership and driving site culture, whilst maintaining a strong safety focus in achieving production targets. You will also drive the development of a new underground mine with related infrastructure and capital requirements.

You will be accountable for ensuring consistency across the operation in line with the long-term plan and strategy of the company while developing projects simultaneously. Reporting through to the executive team you will ensure clear communication lines across all levels and drive a performance culture across the site. This is a unique opportunity to utilise your extensive technical mining knowledge and operational background to add value to a mining company with a bright future.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or closely related discipline
• Previous experience at Mine Manager level or above
• 1st class Mine Managers ticket
• Ideally experience across both open-pit and underground hard-rock mines
• Proven leadership skills and demonstrated success in achieving performance and safety targets
