The Company
This ASX Listed Resources Company is looking to grow and is a significant producer from its open cut and underground operations. With many new project developments underway and pending expansion of existing operations they are looking to consistently grow value. This role will play a key role in improving the life of mine model, resource development and feasibility work and helpjng co-ordinate all technical support aspects of this operating mine. They are now looking for a talented Technical Services Superintendent to fulfil this rewarding yet challenging mandate.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Technical Services Superintendent is responsible for all engineering related functions for the group to achieve annual and long-term mining targets.You will be comfortable working autonomously to do whatever it takes to get the job done and have excellent mine engineering, production and mine planning skills. A significant part of this role will be to orchestrate future mine planning and feasibility based project activities using key scheduling and mine planning software. The primary focus will be open-cut work followed by underground.
To achieve in this role you will possess:
Excellent mining experience with 6- 10 years exposure within precious or base metals and degree qualified.
Excellent working knowledge of mining processes, lom modelling and feasibility work.
Ideally both Open-pit and Underground with a preference towards Open-Pit.
Excellent scheduling skills and software knowledge.
Your key performance areas will be:
Development and execution of current and future mine plan and simulation work.
Scheduling and planning for future growth through detailed scenarion and NPV project planning work.
Planning and execution of Feasibility study work and report writing.
Establishing systems for the mining department relating to production efficiency, mine planning, scheduling, technical services, cost management and reporting.
