A fast-rising mining company is seeking to appoint a Process Manager to manage the plant for their growing operation in Queensland. Working closely with the production and geology departments, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safe, high quality and efficient delivery of copper cathode from the mining operation.

Reporting to and working closely with the General Manager, your role will be to manage all aspects of the mineral processing and ensure that quality product, high recoveries and rates of production are achieved. You will utilise your extensive experience from leadership roles in base metals processing to manage a team of Process Engineers and operators. You will be responsible for managing rosters, supervision of staff and the provision of strategic direction in relation to the plant. The role will have some involvement in future technical scoping and feasibility studies for new oxide and sulphide deposits.

To be successful in this role you will require a Degree in Process/Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy, qualifications and have a minimum of 10 years experience in base metal mining operations. Your experience will include time spent working in heap leach operations and ideally will include solvent extraction and or electro-winning techniques. Experience in crush/grind/float will also be beneficial. Demonstrated effectiveness in a site based leadership role is essential.
