With an extensive career in HSSE heavily centred on the Oil and Gas industry, your depth of experienced is required to work on numerous projects across the Asia Pacific region.

Primarily, you will be working in an Individual Contributor capacity driving the initial phases of HSSE plans including Journey Management, Route Assessments, Vendor Development and Compliance, Management system development, Accident Investigation, Lifting Plans etc.
Further, you will be:
  • Responsible for ensuring full compliance with the company policies, procedures, and all federal legislation applicable to regions where operations are being conducted.
  • Travel to various locations within ASIA region to promote the firms objectives.
  • Involved in the development and implementation of the companies project specific HSSE plans in accordance with internal and external (BS OHSAS 18001, ANSI Z10 etc.) requirements.
  • Provide support in all matters related to HSSE within the ASIA region and management.
  • Reporting of leading and lagging indicators as required by the company and clients.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all contracted and subcontracted workforces engaged by the company are aware of and comply with the companies and client specific HSSE requirements.
  • Liaise with Corporate Industrial Projects and HSSE managements teams.
Your Key Accountabilities include:
  • Collect and share HSSE lessons learned with other sites and project and functional management
  • Assist ASIA project operations staff to assess & monitor the HSSE capabilities & activities of subcontractors
  • Provide assistance to and participate in risk assessments and studies as defined by project specific HSSE plan
  • Support Global Head HSSE in administration/implementation of HSSE training & development programs at project locations, specifically local operations personnel
  • Provide recruitment, administration, and functional guidance to nominated project HSSE representatives and project managers
  • Advise site teams (company and subcontractors) of company and client/site-specific, HSSE requirements, regulations, expectations, and best practices
  • Establish project and site-specific programs to collect data on HSSE performance for reporting to Global Head HSSE and senior management of Compaqny Industrial Projects
  • Identify and advise local project staff of means to eliminate hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts; work with company, client and subcontractor management toward achieving an injury-free workplace
  • Conduct Incident root cause analysis on all Significant Near Misses or reportable major events and prepare full incident/accident reports of such events.
  • Develop and provide training and support to the project teams.
  • Conduct risk analysis and safety audits.
  • Coordinate with Global HSSE team opportunities and requirements to attain/sustain OHSAS 18001 certification on various projects and locations where applicable.
  • Audit and mentor contractors and sub-contractors against HSSE and compliance standards for country and the company.
  • Support initiatives to create a zero harm culture and reduce / eliminate accidents and incidents.

This role is to be domicilied in either your current location or Thailand depending on the candidate. You must be prepared to travel at an EXCESSIVE level. That is for the first two years your travel will be no less than 85 - 90% and pan Asia Pacific with further travel to the US and Middle East included.
