As our next balst and Drill Trainer reporting to the Training Superintendent you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
This is a site based role operating on an 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth that will see you thrive on meeting all goals and challenges, and act with fairness and integrity in all that you do.

Some of your duties will include:
· Ensuring that the assessment activity complies with the principles of assessment (validity, fairness, reliability, flexibility, authenticity, currency)
· Making determinations regarding the achievement of the assessment outcomes in accordance with the assessment package requirements
· Maintaining the integrity of assessments and results
· Developing retraining plans for those who do not achieve the required result during the assessment activity
· Have attention to detail when completing forms and documentation
· Ensuring the assessment documentation is passed onto the Training Coordinator as soon as the assessment is completed
· Implement all training programs within their competency so that production quality, training, safety, health and environment requirements are satisfied.
· Assist the trainee in the knowledge of all of the Operating Procedures for the item of plant they are training on.
· Perform training activities and assessments for operators as required
· Deliver any other training as defined by the Training Coordinator.
· Take responsibility for the trainee and actions while training.
· Any other training responsibilities as directed from time to time by the Superintendent / Training Coordinator.
What skills and experience do you need?
· Minimum 3 years experience operating Down Hole Hammer, Top Hole Hammer and Rotary drills
· Specific experience operating Atlas Copco D65 Smart Drill, Pit Viper 271 and GD5000 would be favourable
· Dangerous goods security card and Western Australian Shot Firers Ticket Essential
· Experience with Surface blasting operations Essential
· .High risk licence CV (Vehicle Loading Crane) would be favourable
· TAE Certificate IV in Training & Assessing essential
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Commitment to continuous self-improvement
· You will also need to possess a high regard for and practice health and safety at all times.
