Process Maintenance Superintendent - Wet Plant

Working within the challenges of a highly competitive and ever changing Mining Industry you will be responsible for the Process Wet Plant Mechanical Maintenance Team, You will ensure operational standards are constantly developed and business improvement initiatives and technical excellence are demonstrated across the processing facilities (including the, milling, flotation, leaching, elution, gold room, residue disposal and water management facilities).

You will be responsible for developing and retaining a high calibre maintenance team and ensure effective support across the whole of the process operations for cranes, rigging and scaffolding services. You will also ensure compliance with maintenance systems and processes, efficient deployment of resources focusing on work methodology, job quality, schedule compliance, reliability strategy and performance of equipment and processes.
A key objective of this position is to achieve the Newmont Boddington Gold (NBG) Production targets in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner,

Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent combination of trade training and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Superintendent in a milling/processing environment, preferably in large mining operations.
  • Strong project management and planning skills in a mining environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of budget and cost control in a process environment.
  • Significant experience in managing contract maintenance work teams and specialist maintenance service providers.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and standards.
  • Capable of managing a skilled trade team within a very large and complex processing plant.
  • High level of communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Strong PC Skills and computer literacy (including MS Excel, PI, MS Project and Ellipse/SAP).
