As our next Technical Services Manager reporting to the Project Director, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
This is a site based role operating on a 5 days on, 2 days off; 4 days on, 3 days off roster FIFO from Perth that will see you thrive on meeting all goals and challenges, and act with fairness and integrity in all that you do.

Some of your duties will include:
· Assisting in the preparation and implementation of Project Management Plans reflecting these strategies and establishing the basis for the overall Project Management System, consistent with the Branch Management System
· Leading a large team to establish the technical mining systems at one of the newest mining operations

· Plan, maintain and monitor a Mine Operation plan and program encompassing all procurement, operation and completion activities involved in the Project

· Provide engineering and technical input to mining operations management and supervisory staff to allow productive and cost effective completion of the works

· Undertake mine planning and modelling as required to optimise production on site

· Plan, lead, organise and control all project resources to deliver the Project Management System requirements and project objectives on an ongoing basis

· Pro-actively plan and participate in audit and review programs to ensure System compliance and effectiveness
· Continually evaluate, review and determine the most appropriate use of mining methodologies for best project performance

· Regularly report to the Project Manager on the technical, systems and productivity performance of the project

· Ensure comprehensive project records are established and maintained

· Ensure all site production reporting is completed

· Plan for and facilitate the effective utilisation of project, branch and divisional resources

· Perform other duties as may be defined by the Project Director
What skills and experience do you need?
Key attributes that will contribute to your success include strong mining engineering technical skills with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels. You'll have good organising skills, while experience at managing the technical services of large scale mining projects will also be expected. Those with an owner miner background or a geology background are also encouraged to apply.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess a mining technical services background. This role requires the ability to manage mine planning and geology to optimise production on site. You will be a team player who has demonstrated skills managing a leading technical services team and developing effective relationships to drive the efficient utilisation of resources.
