E/I Technician Job no: MEL0301 Department: MEL Maintenance Electrical Work type: Permanent Minara Resources is wholly owned by Glencore International and operates the Murrin Murrin Nickel Cobalt mining and refining project in the northern Goldfields region of Western Australia between the towns of Leonora and Laverton. Our Murrin Murrin Operations includes engineering complexity not present in the processing of other commodities such as iron ore, gold, coal or mineral sands which allows us to offer exceptional career growth and technical challenges. The Role: Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor you will join an active team to maintain all electrical and instrumentation equipment within an area of our plant. You will work an 8/6 roster, predominately on days with a rotating nightshift roster and occasional additional coverage across other areas of site. Our site is a fully operational mine and hydrometallurgical processing facility which incorporates an ore leaching area, a nickel & cobalt refinery and a utilities area with our own in-house power station (incorporating gas and steam turbines), a sulphuric acid plant, H2S gas plant and reverse-osmosis water treatment facility. With such a diverse range of equipment, our Murrin Murrin site offer a unique environment in which to work. Whilst you will be assigned to work within our Ore Leach area, you will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to other areas of our plant such as Refinery and Utilities. You: We are seeking a competent, experienced electrician/instrument technician who possesses the following qualifications and technical expertise: - Western Australian 'A' Grade Electrical Licence - Cert IV Electrical Instrumentation - Continuous processing plant maintenance experience - HV switching certificate (desirable) - Hazardous area training/experience (desirable) The Lifestyle: This permanent position is available on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth.
