Underground Manager-068838 Permanent Description We are seeking an experienced, proactive and self-motivated Underground Manager to join our team. In this position you will be in charge of all the operational and planning aspects of the Darlot Underground Mine. Duties & Responsibilities: • Reporting to the Mining Manager, the Underground Manager will have the following responsibilities: • Promote and participate in the development of site safety policies • Fulfil statutory duties of Underground Manager and ensure the full regulatory compliance of the operations • Direct day-to-day control of underground mining activities • Supervise and manage the underground mining operations section • Provide relief supervision to technical services section • Ensure all underground mine plans, schedules, budgets and forecasts are adhered to • Carry out and direct project work and feasibility studies as required • Contribute to and review periodic reports including forecasts, annual budgets and reserve statements. Requirements: • Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline • WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency • 10 plus years mining experience essential, predominantly underground • Experience as an Underground Manager or Alternate Underground Manager at an underground operation • Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence • Proven track record in safety, production, project management and team building • Competent in Excel, Word and Access • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Experience with Vulcan will be beneficial.
